Rooftop Honey Saison

The Brown Palace is Denver's most legendary hotel. And Wynkoop, it's most iconic brewery. The two collaborated to create a one of a kind Saison using honey from bees that live on the rooftop of The Brown Palace. I designed a logo that captured the essence of the bees and honey, as well as gave a nod to The Brown Palace's iconic logo and branding. The logo was then put on t-shirts, tap handles, coasters, glasses and eventually a poster. The work was featured as a Communication Arts exhibit piece in 2012.

Brown Palace Pale Ale

To pay homage to the great state it has called home for over a century, The Brown Palace continued its tradition of crafting custom beers and created Palace Pale Ale. Partnering with brewmasters from Parker, CO brewery, Hall Brewing Co, they created the light-bodied ale with locally-grown malts and hops, as well as water from The Brown Palace’s artesian well. I started with a logo inspired by the handmade quality of the beer itself, then brought to life a locals-only attitude through everything from beer tap handles to a poster series.

I've included other designs of this logo that didn't get chosen, but rose to the top during the selection process.
